You actually said what I was thinking...

But hey! Not everyone has good taste in music...yet everyone thinks they do (including me).

Grade and Whippersnapper. Music doesn't get any better. It's not very technical stuff, but it's powerful... As far as who do I consider to be a godlike musician as far as technique, Yngwie, all the way.

    Pothead guitar player? Yes.

    Others. No.

They ARE a great band (if you play music).

And yes, I am a musician with an actual band that plays shows.

I don't know about De La Soul, I mean Pot holes in my lawn, Me, Myself, and I, and other tunes were pretty good, but really? I don't think of any band out there is Godlike, perhaps masterful, and that could be any number of bands. A strange analogy between fragging performance and musical talent, but what ever floats your boat is fine by me.

Just list them, list reasons, and list songs, with music nerd-esque thoughts afterwards, or a humble biology.

    E.g:

De La Soul are gods because they are an:

American rap group whose debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising (1989), was one of the most influential albums in hip-hop history. The members were Posdnuos (byname of Kelvin Mercer; b. August 17, 1969, New York, New York, U.S.), Trugoy the Dove (byname of David Jolicoeur; b. September 21, 1968, New York), and Pasemaster Mase (byname of Vincent Mason; b. March 24, 1970, New York).

De La Soul was formed in 1988 by three high-school friends…

Listen to 3 Feet High and Rising or De La Soul is dead. They, through constant re-invention and truth to themselves and their fans. Their latest CD, AoI:Bionix contains some truly powerful songs, some near guaranteed to bring tears to those near 40.

    E.g.:

    BT, Brian Therenause (or something)

Never has electronic music ever been so full of life and vigor. Listen to "Embrace the Sunshine", "Lullaby for Gaia" and ESPECIALLY "Satellite". Those are songs.

    I'll continue if you do.
Working...
