    More patch changes (build 3203)

    Here are the changes since the last one, build 3200. You should be able to find the complete list be searching this forum.
    - utsecure removed from patch (back to being a separate download)

    - speedhack detection tweaks

    - force correct default character, even if PRI hasn't been replicated
    yet

    - force same character as player is using: players using
    bForceDefaultCharacter must use a valid forced character as their own
    model

    - limit speedhack detection logging

    - fixed Onslaught map list

    - fixed players getting out of vehicles into water

    - improved team balancing in network games
    I think a lot of people will be pleased about number four.

    It's about time the vehicle+water thing was fixed, it's been like that since the Bulldog in UT2003.

    I wonder what the 'improved team balancing' is...

      was the health vial bug fixed?
      (Able to pick up, but not USE, health vials once you have full health)

          I suppose it fixes veterans from using a default model coupled with Matrix...

                Oh well still no news on the dom.xml file being fixed???
                Also assault.xml file is missing.
                (i think there should be one).

                Hopefully the final patch should not be long now:-)

                    199 of course.
                    You can always use health vials if you're lower than 199, but once you're over you can still pick them up but you won't gain any health.
                    I'm not sure it's a bug... health vials are sometimes used as sound ques. (think of DM-Rankin, the health vial just above the 100 shield)

                      It's not a bug. That's for denying the health other players in 1on1. Likewise, you can pick up two 50as in DM, but you'll still only have 50a. This only occurs in DM, not TDM - which is why proper 1on1 is played in DM.

                        That not a bug. You're meant to be allowed to pick up health/shields, even if you don't need them, to prevent your opponents from getting them.
                        Mainly a 1v1 thing.

                          IIRC, that's not a bug... it's intentional. You're not allowed to have more than 199 health, but I think you're allowed to pick the vial up as a means of denying it to your opponent. The merits of that are debatable (no opinion here, really), but I don't think it's a bug. *edit* :haha:

                          And yes, I'm super pleased about #4 -- and any improvement to team balancing anywhere is welcome, provided it really is an improvement. :up:
