    What about DDOM in UT2004?

How are the new DDOM maps? I'm realy eager to play UT2004 and DDOM. Of course there will be a lot of Onslaughting, Assaulting and Deathmatching, but I loved UT2003 for DDOM only, and realy wants to play some new official DDOM maps.

I gotta wonder if no DDOM players has got the full game yet. Someone should be able do give some feedback ...

heres a big DDOM fan, without 2k4 (yet!).. I'm just hoping by the time i get up and running there will be some decent servers. I too like yourself liked UT2003 mainly for its DDOM.. I dont think I'd still be playing it now if it wasn't for that gametype.

Only thing I'm worried about is that they haven't took into consideration how us gamers play DDOM. If they had they would realise that most of us that are competative about DDOM have essential boost-dodge tricks to get to the CP that second or so quicker.

I just got finished playing and I'm almost done with the DDOM ladder. I was about to make a new thread about the maps, but since this one is already made...

DOM-Access and DOM-Conduit are both very cool. I like them a lot (and I'm not a big DDOM fan ).

        Want screenies?

          Of course!

I'm glad to hear that we might have a new DDOM fan closing in!

I think a lot of DDOM lovers are European.
Also, you posted at a bit of an unusual time, the forum's usually slow right now. (the only reason I'm online at the moment is because I have little to do, having an exam week and I thought I had an exam today which turned out to be yesterday :sour:)
It's early in the morning in western europe and it's just past midnight in the USA.

This is a small and very simple map. I'm stuck on this level because every map ends in a stalemate, but it's still very cool and has a lot of multiplayer potential.

Each team starts in spawnrooms away from the combat and there's teleporters to the top and bottom of the map. The battleground is essenstially one big cylinder formed by smaller ones.

Point A is in the basement of the cylinder, and Point B is on the roof. Each of the green tubes is an elevator.

Note: Screenshots are reduced quality (jpg) to help out the 56kers.

                DOM-Access

Also a small map, but this is horizontal rather than vertical like Conduit. The unique thing about this map is the button at the center of the map. Each time it is pushed, 2 doors cut off the main entrances to one of the cap points. Arrows on the ground point to which entrance isn't blocked. When the main entrance doors are blocked, the only way to get in/out of the blocked point is by the upper catwalk; which is very thin and could generate some interesting battles online.

Also, there are TVs all over the map that show live pictures of either capture points.

                  You're right.

But the board is still busy, seems like the release brings a lot of people here.

A few. None of them were as exciting as those 2 though. I haven't played them all yet.

played all the new ones except for Aswan (when I saw it was an egyptian map I said "Oh ****, screw this") They are all really fun to play on, expecially Atlantis, probably my favorite of all the new ones.
