    I have a question about UT2k4 DVD SE(No, I'm not asking the differences.)

    Today, I went to EB to pick up my so called UT2k4 DVD SE, but when I told the girl about she asked the idiot(you'll find out soon)next to her what he did with it. He replied and said that he sold it, and so she called the manager and he said to give me a copy of the normal UT2k4 and deduct 10 bucks off it, and when they got another DVD SE in they would give it to me for free.

    The question is, just a little bit more DVD SEs are being shipped, but not much more right? Also, do stores usually get a shipment of more of a new game the next day after it was shelved?

Personally I'm amazed by that because they pay more for the DVD version and there are a limited number of them available. But we saw that same kind of thing happen with the original Unreal Tournament where retailers sold it at, or even below, cost around the product launch and eventually raised the price back to suggested retail price after the initial buying frenzy. GT Interactive, Atari's predecessor, explained to me that do that to build traffic among loyal buyers hoping word-of-mouth from satisfied players will bring more customers into the store to buy it later at a higher margin. Wierd but cool
