if a retailer told YOU it was going to be available to take home today, well, they lied to you. dont blame atari. please dont make yet another 10 threads about it. just relax!!!

at best, the rumors were it would SHIP today, tomorrow or even the 17th. a few places said they shipped already, but again... that's their problem.

certainly some folks have it already, but let's try to be mature.

far as im concerned, it was ALWAYS officially to be "released" on the 16th/17th depending on distribution.

so stop whining. you'll have it soon.

Mark Rein did say in his announcement that it would be in stores today.

Now, you and I both knew what that meant, but others aren't quite up to speed with PR speak.

Why are people complaining? This isn't like the Half-Life 2 fiasco where a week before the release date that they delay the game 6 months. 1 - 3 days before it hits store shelves is nothing to get ****** off about.

just the opposite. it's intended to get people to RELAX and CHILL OUT.

getting bent out of shape over not having it today, a monday

i believe tat most retailers dont get shipments on mon, but in fact get them on tuesday and saturdays = which i learned from investigating ut2k3 release.

i was shocked that thus Gamestop guy told me today that it would be out wednesday, BUT that BF:V would be available tomorrow (i didnt ask about BV:F)

it made me think that they had a vested interest... in putting BF:V on the shelf PRIOR to the day UT2k4 hit the shelves.

dont worry, when i go tomorrow night and ask for BF:V, and then ask for my copy of UT2k4 SE... and they say "no" on ut2k4, im going to say "wow, that's strange. other stores have it now and i preordered this. i guess i wont buy either from you"

we will see what happens.
