[UT2004] Lost one of the cd's please help

hey everybody i lost the play disc and now i cant install the game... my question is i will be able to play online
if i will download the game and use the ORIGINAL CD-KEY? thanx for help

I think it is possible to register the game on Steam, where you have to give your CD key and you will be able to download the game via Steam. Downloading it somewhere else is not legal I guess.

UT2004 has nothing to do with Steam, you can't register your keys there.

You might be able to download UT2004 from somewhere, but that's illegal

first, you already paid for the license key
second, it's much easier
PS i think epics had to make this game free-to-download a long time ago and just sell the license keys somehow
have no idea why they don't want

so i still be able to play online with original cd-key but downloaded game?
i ask this question because the master server recognize only the cd-key.. correct me if i wrong

Well, you can try DL it from some source you can rely on, but make sure you still have your original key.

Unless you buy something else on Steam but PayPal fails to transfer the money and so Steam thinks you betrayed them and after that you are a ***** when communicating with the support and pull the "if you don't unban my account, I will bring a lawyer in"-club.
Just saw such a genius today. He will probably still get his account back as soon as he transfers the missing money, but if you **** the support off, they are likely to put your case on the bottom of their list. Being nice always pays out, though. <3


The only limit would be if you don't have a credit card for Steam (though I heard that you can buy "Paysafe" cards in certain stores for real money and then enter their PIN in a Paysafe account and pay with that online). Or if you live in a country where UT is not available in Steam - like me, but I was lucky enough to know an American who gifted it to me.

It's essentially a digital download that works just like Steam that you have available to you for life.

I'd go for the Anthology. You pay for "2 games" (judging by the UT2004 ECE price) but get 4 (- actually almost 5 games ): Unreal (with its expansion pack Return To Na Pali), Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament: Game Of The Year Edition and (of course) Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition.

And if you think about it: Back then you had to pay for Return To Na Pali, it was not a free DLC like UT's bonus packs, so actually you would pay for 5 games if you would buy them separately (ignoring Unreal Gold that is... and that's what I meant by my previous statement "actually almost 5 games").
