If SOPA were passed into law, how would that affect user created content such as maps, mods, models, skins and voice packs? Would that give say Warner Bros and Disney the ability to force people to take down UT2004 voice packs that had clips from Bugs Bunny and Disney movies in them and to remove models that depict Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse?

How about maps that might depict a place in a movie or a video game, such as the Mario Land maps I've seen? Would those have to be removed as well?

I've also read that SOPA would video game playthrough videos targets of rights holders as well.

It seems to me this bill would really chill user generated content.

That thing will not keep pace with infringers but cut down creativity.

It'll be too late by then. However, I'll happily vote Conyers' sorry *** out.

They've already had the ability for decades. You might remember a term called "foxing"...

nah, most bills take a long time to go through congress. Plus there is as much opposition as support from others in government (Ron Paul for one ). In the mean time you could contact your current congressman/woman and ask them not to support it.

Not my fault. That's the signature the app used. Now please remain on topic. Thank you.

It is within your control. Don't use an app that spams advertising into every post.

                          It's "legitimized" by Epic. *click*

                          And now B2T.

I don't think it will have such a bad impact on modders. They'll just have to be more creative, do their own stuff, maybe with references to what they originally wanted to make, e.g. a huge rabbit called "Funny Bunny" with a carrot in its head as a playermodel instead of a Bugs Bunny model.

                              Thank you, Sly.

I'm still hoping Google, Facebook and the general public can put enough pressure on the House and Senate to reject these bills.

If it does become law, hopefully some creative people will make things and upload them for others to freely use.
