legacy-Kronon repliedHey, spawnraping is an art. Especially in UT TDM the tactics could be built around spawnraping. If you have played clans like mTw, Ocrana or Xtreme in UT on Turbine you will know what I mean
Fun when you do the spawnraping, extremely annoying when you get raped yourself

I do happen to think that spawn killing at the power nodes is just fine. Spawn protection is there by default and people can choose to spawn elsewhere. But I generally don't try to do it at the power core until it's vulnerable. Then it's fair game because you want to prevent the enemy from reaching the first node and reclaiming it.
If the power core is not vulnerable I'm not going to spawn camp there. However all nodes are fair game, and the power core spawns are fair game when the core is vulnerable.

Yes. There was a bug in the demo that prevented it from working on vehicle weapons (including running people over). This has been fixed in the full version.

legacy-Tapout1511 repliedOk, "nothing" may have been a bit strong. BUT! if you spend the whole match sniping, at the end you will maybe have a score of 25.
And if you are the highest scoring player on your team, I guarantee that your team lost.
Sniping has an impact, but IMO sniping the node and preventing people from spawning there is a much better course of action. When dealing with the last node, Yes. I will admit that sniping is useful... somewhat... (God it hurt to say that)
Not that I have anything against snipers, but I get killed by Mantas and Goliaths 3-4 times more often than by a sniper. It's also near impossible to damage the power core while sniping.
I'm sorry, I just don't feel that sniping contributes as much to the goal (Destroy the power core) as other activities (Attack, Hold Nodes, even vehicle whoring) At the point in time where there is a battle for 1 node, the winning team has access to 13-15 vehicles. Get in a Manta and go blast that Core til you die. Then do it again. Better yet hop in your team's Goliath. It's almost always there at this point in the game. Get up on top of the hill and unload on the core. You will do 3-5% per shot.
Again, this is what works for me.

That's the best part about ONS. Sniping and camping do nothing to further your cause in the game.
If you want to win you gotta get off your lazy ***** and cap a frickin node.
In other words, I echo what Ultron said above.

Well, when I read this all I'm doubt if I gonna buy this game, it seems no fun at all to me if it's so easy to camp............

I´ve noticed that as well.Shouldnt you be spawn protected when spawning and isnt that what the yellow flickering means?

We wouldn't have won if some of my teammates hadn't retaken our last node while I was off devastating their tank node, though.
In my experience it's hard to make a difference all alone.

lol, see, now thats awsome, I can dig it. I love joining random gains as this angel of death and joining the underdog team. If the players are at least decent, I can usually succeed in fending off thier enemy causing an eventual victory.
Now what I might start doing int he furture is to see how long I can make a battle last just by jumping tams when the one Im on starts winning, that would be funny.

Spawncamping can actually be used sortof defensively. In a game, my team was down to last node and taking heavy fire, so I drove the hellbender to the tank node right next to it and started blasting everyone there with the combos, preventing them from taking tank.
I they wanted to they could easily spawn by another node, grab a manta, and attack me from behind.
We managed to turn the tide and actually win the last few seconds with just 8% core left.

I dont camp, I move fast and hit hard, my main goal as should be everyone's is to take nodes and defend the team.
