Did you know the LG in UT2k4 is NOT instanthit(avi inside).

I found out this today, no wonder I can't hit with it as good as in UT2k3.

    I hope it's just a bug.

It's still instahit, but there's a millisecond "tactile delay" between clicking and firing. Just follow your target, and don't stop following after you've clicked. It takes some getting used to, but it's a needed nerf.

To be honest, I've noticed that my LG performance has been quite a bit better since I've been playing the demo. Reminds me a bit of the railgun thing in Q3A.

It's not instant because lightning really does take time to hit the ground. :bulb:

Just aim for the head and practice a bit, you should be able to get used to it.

Not in my opinion, but Epic seems to have left the damage untouched, and nerfed another aspect of it, maybe to make headshots a little bit harder.

Be thankfull that they didn't nerf the damage.

                      Ah didnt know that

Initially I found it hard to land shots with LG in 2k4. But now its a lot easier (depending on situation)

I <3 My LG aim in ONS tho

You have to kind of "drift" your aim when using the LG. Or simply "follow your target".

It takes time, but i've somewhat gotten used to it.
I'm still having weapon switching problems since I switch weapons too early .

Yeah but thats like asking someone to get used to an additional 20 points in his ping...

btw, maybe there isnt really a delay.. but maybe the delay is only for the effect, not the actual hit

try this again but then do it while making a headshot

I also noticed that being flakspammed causes your ping to rise enourmously, making you even shoot through enemies.

                            Yes, it probably is.
I was not able to reproduce this behaviour offline.
Could you give a discription of what you did EXACTLY?

Balefire behaved in a similar fashion in Wheel of time, but only more severe. All you need to do is lead your target. Although if i had to guess very few around here ever touched that game...
