I love good death messages

I broke up laughing after I accidentally killed myself with it. If you haven't seen it, it's a suicide using the grenade launcher. What are some of your favorite death messages?

zoefff tried out one of his own spider-mines, IT WORKED!!! :haha:

i discovered this the day the demo came out but still people are discovering it so.....it happens when you kill youre self with youre own spider-mines (duh)

AR suicide:
"%o assaulted himself."

Link (Secondary) suicide:
"%o shafted himself."

Shock Prim suicide:
"%o somehow managed to shoot himself with the shock rifle."

Sniper (both I think) suicide:
"%o violated the laws of space-time and sniped himself."

Xloc suicide:
"%o tried to go where no man has gone before."

Laser turret suicide:
"%o somehow managed to shoot himself with a turret."


But my fav that you'll actually see is the Spidermine suicide:
"%o tried out one of his own mines... it worked!"

hehe .. i was the first to say about the spider-mines

but the best of all for me is the sniper suicide :haha: :haha:

Xloc is the translocator (not in onslaught, duh :P)
And I've seen the xloc one too (via ut2003 !)

the shock prim will reflect off a shield and you can hit youre self then...

Death messages are not for bringing fun, they are for giving you important information. That's why I have changed mine to e.g. "Killed | Shock Pri | Killer". Very good to have in team games.

It takes the sting out of dying if you can laugh at yourself, and it gives the killer something to feel proud about. Though they are easily changeable, so if you want to use them for info then you can do exactly that.

The funnier the death message is, the better. You another one of those people, who turn all the settings to extremely-****ing-ugly low, just to gain 3 more fps, and use that ugly *** skin hack so you can see your enemy across the **** planet?
