    UTR UT Revolution

    Hi all,

Does anyone have a copy of the 1.0.0.2 version of UTR? That's the big mod package some folks made to bring UT to the UT2004 engine. The Alpha is all over the place, but I must be the only person on earth who has seen the 1.0.0.2 release. Most of the sites and links are down. Does anyone have this beast?

Apparently, the site got sold. Which implies that the project is dead.

Yes, the project was closed a long time ago. We had lucky that some people kept buzzing one of those who worked in it to release a beta.

Not really. What is people want to play UT2004 and not UT3.
UTR brough improvements to the engine. The gameplay is difrent than it would be with maps in UT3 done with the converter. Weapons and pickups were changed in this mod.
It isn't just a simple thing, many people worked really hard to do this.

I would really be willing to pick it up and contribute to it... With permission of the maker of course. Some weapon models are finished. Making a mutator pack like the UCBP, the UT3 Style Mutators and the Unreal II XMP mutators wouldn't be that hard I guess.

It's just a dream though since (I bet) there were some attempts to finish it that failed in the end.

However, let UTR rest in peace (unless many people would want to do it and play it and unless someone would be willing to run a UTR server once it would be done).
