    Is there any bloom plugin/addon for unreal 2004?

    Or any replacement HiDefinition Textures/Models for unreal 2004?

    S3TC textures aren't possible right now, although mesh maps could be made S3TC, just that nobody is working on it right now.

      Bloom really depends on the map, at least the version I had.

      I used it on a snowy map and my Assault Rifle got almost completely translucent. And it didn't cover my whole 100-FOV.
      And it got really blurry on terrain, but those are all things that are mentioned on the Wikipage.

        @Crusha, yeah, the Bloom Mutator is only designed to FOV 90.
        And as mentioned, this bloom mutator is buggy. (Semi-transuclent weapons, and don't work with manymany maps, except DM-Albatross).

        The Unreal-wiki Download is not up to date, so I gonna post the link to the "newest" version.

              As you can see, the first impressions were not so much appreciated, the players said that it would either look too rusty, too old, but also too clean to look realistic…
              You can't see the screenshots without registering, they are all from Rankin.

              I wouldn't play a remake just because of the look (the original looked great, I don't want it dirty), especially not if I need to download extra stuff.

                @Crusha, there is only this one project, called RUT. And I'm the same person as on UnrealED.

                About the Demo: I, for myself, don't like the "demonstration-version" of Rankin either. In the final-version, there will be the original and clean style of Rankin, with the same, but improved, textures.

                  The version I got from the first link on the wiki was newer (modified 12/2005) than this version (10/2004.)

                  Also, anyone know how to configure the mutator?

                    @Jefe, which download link?? The Ego-Creations one?
                    Then, I can say that this is definately not a newer file (check the "dreamland.u" size). And the version I posted (don't know if it's the newest, but the best I found) can be modified in the Mutator's section.
                    Also there is the motion blur mutator included.

                        Thanks jefe, but you misunderstood me...

                        Here are a few examples:

                        Look at Cobalt's lens

                        it is not translucent like that ingame

                        Cyclops's medallion should have more polygons

                        and when viewing thru unrealEd, the corrupt have 512*512 texures,
                        they should have 1024*1024+ textures like every other character/team

                        like cobalt above

                        it doesn't appear like that ingame

                        Abaddon's eyes could also use more polys
                        Brock/Lauren would look better if they had chrome effects on their armor
                        Selig, Damarus, Nebri have spectular hilights for their masks

                          The specular highlights on those characters are just done for the portraits, and I assume that Upaint was used to create these, because it does exactly that. I think most of the UT characters look fine as they are, not counting the alpha transparency problems on some of them (Romulus/Remus, Blackjack/Prism for example.) Some of the team skins look pretty crappy to me though.

                          For thing like adding specularity, well that's what custom skins are for. Look up some of Klasnic's skins for example.

                            Also Mr. Crow's feathers are messed up on his team color uniforms, among other characters.


                            If you look at the characters from the UT2003 intro, esp Malcom and the other 2, they have a minor chrome effect on their armor. I think all the characters would look better if they had that...
