    Inofficial fast mirror

Hiya, I have an inofficial fast academic server. (Would have posted earlier but forum was down until now)

So if the official ones are slow, you might try this:

    http://n.ethz.ch/student/gallatir/do...4-betademo.exe

    Location: Zürich, Switzerland
    Connectivity: - 5 Gbit/sec Géant/Internet2
    - 2x155mbit Zürich-New York
    - very fast European peerings

File will be gone in a week at the latest!

    Enjoy !

There seems to be still interest in alternative locations, so I bump it.

All the people who commented on the speed so far (very few) said it maxed their connection.

6 days to removal of the file though.

I can connect to mine faster than yours. Must be the ocean? Mine is in the Eastern US.

Well you did see the smiley ? Of course mine is faster for me, both systems are on the same campus network.

Likewise, yours should be faster for you (and those near you)

As I wrote, it stands in Zürich, Switzerland, Europe.

I get a 100ms RTT to your server from here over the big pond.

The more the better after all !
