    Scroll wheel

Hey... I'm curious if there is a way to adjust the scroll wheel sensitivity in UT2003. I have one of those really expensive Microsoft optical elite keyboard and mouse combo's. The mouse scroll wheel doesn't have notches, it's just a smooth scroll, and I can't accurately scroll through weapons like that. Is there any way I can adjust that, like in an INI file or something?

Well.. I dont know too much about mices...but even tho it doesnt have "physical" notches, it still has em... so dont think there is such thing called "maouse weel sensitivity"... tho I dont know... just a thoery! :bulb:

You can try binding your weapons to keys aroudn your movement keys for fast switching, it takes awhile to get used to though. I've been playing UT and this game since it came out, and I still use the mouse wheel...

It doesn't have physical notches, but the scrolling goes so insanely fast when I try to switch weapons. Seriously, I can just BARELY move the wheel and switch through every weapon.

Using scroll-wheel to select between weapons arent very good anyway, since it takes way to long to scroll to the weapon you need.

I use keys around movement keys to select weapon, and also have scroll-wheel up toggling between shock/lg and scrollwheel down to toggle between rl/flak.

What I wish the scroll wheel could do is, that once zoomed on the sniper or lighting gun, that you can use the wheel to set sight distance, and when out of zoom, it can scroll through your weapons. There are plenty of games that has this feature but not in UT.

Yeah man, I've got one of those MS mice. It's not on my gaming system though, so I've not used it with UT2003. Anyway, you set the scroll speed in the control panel for the mouse.

It even has acceleration! (move the wheel slow and it scrolls slow, move fast...) So I'd recommend cranking up the acceleration a bit and turning the overall speed down.

Do you think that would affect the speed in-game?

Really only one way to find out. My best guess is yes though, as if you speed up your mouse in Windows it will speed up in game too.

Yup, as long as you don't use direct input in UT.
