I decided to build a new rig, looking for opinions

Is a 500 W PSU enough to run all these parts without problems?

I dont know, about the psu, but thinking if sli you will need a bigger 1. Try, see if something blows up. (just kidding)

    Get the Quad core man!!!!!

Didnt realize nvida cards getting so cheap, I may just try 1, myself.

I'd go with a higher one man.

I'm running an 8800 GT, 3gb ram and a Pentium 4 2.8ghz processor and the lowest recommended for my system was i believe 500 W PSU.

I used the calculator on newegg to find out what type of PSU i needed. and also the requirements for the videocard which tell you what type of PSU you need for it.

whatever you do dont get 8 series nvidia if you want to play ut2004, just search 8800 and ut2004 in the same sentance in google to see what i mean

stutter has been there for 2 years, not likely to change soon and nvidia cant be stuffed to do anything about it so theres not much we can do

i have a 8800gts 512 and was able to fix my problem with stuttering (vista). I just enabled vsync in the ini files. I use to force it with the nvidia control panel, but with vista, it wouldn't work.
