    UT3 On UT2004 Test

Here's a test shot of Reaper from UT3 on UT2004, and no it's no Photoshop job either. Unfortunately he's not available for download since it's a alpha model and a lot is needed to make move right, this shot I took when the model is moving decently. I don't know if I'm going to continue this little progress or not because this guy is a pain in the *** the rig and port over, I got the model from one of my buddies and he was nice enough to rip him for me since UT3 can't run for ***** on my pc.

Does he know how to get that version of Reaper into UT3 as a playable character, too? The existing in-game character lacks the goggles and is overall, lower detail.

This one has the goggles and it seems pretty detailed, I have the PS3 version of the game, do you mean the version of Reaper from the cut-scenes? That one of course is a higher polycount, I just wanted the player model version so I can whip him up more quickly to import to UT2004 and not worry about all those polygons.

The hi poly version is used by UT3 ... but the only time is when the models are on the hoverboard. Its that way for all the models in UT3. They are not lower poly at all. Look at the character selection screen and you can see that is the hi poly version. The only thing is that by default UT3 DOES NOT use the hi poly version for gameplay ... it actually cuts the polys in half. EE was working on a way to force UT3 to use the hi poly version but I don't know if he got very far or if he is still working on it or what. Someone also tried forcing it through the ini file but that didn't work either. So the only time you get to enjoy the high detail of these models is when they are on the hoverboard, and actually I don't know if this is just for your model or if it applies to the bots when they are on the hoverboard as well. I would imagine so though ...

Bump. missed the reply. The one in the screenshot appears to be the cutscene version, with the goggles and all.

If it's possible to get Reaper with his goggles into 2k4, it must be possible to get him into UT3 as a playable character right? Any chance of this ever happening? Is it possible to make that head playable or duplicate the goggles as a custom armor piece for him?
