OT: AVP (possibly old news - but hey, its kewl)

A buddy sent me a link to a pre-production preview of the Aliens Vs. Predator movie that will be out in Summer of 05 or 04. Im not sure.

Anyway, the clip has some production still painting and the director talks about story elements and what not. Pretty kewl its all coming together for real this time unlike the countless other times it was supposed to be made but fell through.

        Agreed.

A better director for this would have been the guy who did Aliens or the original Predator.

But that would mean digging deep in their production wallet I'm sure.

That director makes pretty nice action scenes, but stories are always simple as a line but what I like in his work, he doesn't end up in talking **** about some higher meanings. Simple, but not trying to be anything else but simple.

Mortal Kombat is better than Matrix for that matter. So don't say AvP will be bad before you've seen it!

(Whitewulf forum smiley, tis actually funny And probably stolen)

Didn't say it was bad. Said the story seems shyte and the director doesn't fill me with confidence. Wait and see, i guess.

The second Mortal Kombat movie was focking evil.

Yeah, but it was so **** it was funny (not this director's, though). I recommend MK 2 to everybody. You just can't stop laughing at everything in it. The actors, the characters, the dialog, the plot...

I'm not kidding. It really is that funny.

Too bad Jackson had to ruin his career with LOTR ****.

Yep. A pity that they can't afford a great director like James Cameron.

This is a movie I'm not going to dig into much story-wise. I'm looking forward to it only to see alien vs predator, and nothing more

Can't wait, I love their tag line: "Whoever wins, we lose"
