    Team Arena Master 3.12

    The new version is out, and it's one of the most solid versions to date. We fixed a few bugs existant in previous 3.x versions, added some more options to mimic 257 gameplay better, and some features we simply forget to re-include on the recode.

    This version is the smoothest to date, with code optimization minimizing replication time, and even a small tweak that helps the network transfer a bit.

    Here is a change log

    Changes for version 3.1

    - Fixed 2 exploits (1 serious, 1 not so serious)
    - Changed the scoreboard to be less intrusive
    - Added a HUD option to show extra teammate info
    - Changed the statboard to be more informative
    - Fixed spawning with no ammo
    - Added weapon unlock sound (can be changed in user.ini)
    - Added timeouts
    - Added "Most damage/accurate/headshots" output
    - Fixed a crash bug when the timelimit hits 0
    - Tweaked adrenaline system modifications

    Changes for version 3.12

    - Added option to disable footsteps.
    - Tweaked the stats and score boards.
    - Tweaked network information transfer.
    - Added option for auto screenshot.
    - Fixed brightskins for 64 bit version.
    - Tweaked brightskins.
    - Added option for PureRFF.
    - Added commands for adren combos.
    - Fixed togglebehindview inconsistancy.

          We have it on Three of the four Titan TAM servers (one isn't public), and it's the best TAM build so far - though the scroreboard is still hard to read at a glance:

          Titan TAM2 (6v6): ut2004://85.232.32.199:7800 - 2.57 settings
          Titan TAM3 (4v4): ut2004://85.232.32.199:7880 - 2.57 settings + pickups for a trial

          We tried that and it completely cocked up the map lists.

            Have someone out there problems with the radar? Since the new version the radar lags like hell.

                Is there any way to have the Master server show both 2.57 and 3.12 servers at the same time? I have both installed and I get 2 "Team Arena Master" tabs in my gametype pull down, but they both bring up the 2.57 server list...

                  The lag on the radar is a tweak we did to help overall net performance. Radar is being re-evaluated, as well as that tweak. We do know what causes it though.

                  The server browser speration has to do with us renaming the gametype. There shouldn't be a huge need to browse 257 servers. 3.12 is very solid, and can be configured to play almost just like 257. It's tons smoother, and doesn't suffer from a serious exploit hack that can wreak havoc on your servers.

                  In short, we are no longer supporting it, since 3.x's release. I've been working to get the word around to any admins that are still skeptical about the new features, especially the ones that can be disabled. If servers you like, still run the old version, feel free to let them know if you'd like them to update

                    O I definitly prefer the new ver, but it is nice to be able to browse both server lists, Im just wondering if that is even possible, since there are a good number of servers that are still running 2.57.

                    I know I can get the 3.12 server list if I unistall my old TAM versions.

                      post here your configuration to make 3.12 almost equal as 2.57 in terms of gameplay

                        Strange, I can list both. I've got "TeamArenaMaster" (2.57) and "TeamArenaMaster v3" (3.12) in my drop down menu.
                        Are you sure you installed both and did not extract them from the cache?

                          http://www.3spn.com/downloads/3spn_v3.12-ut4mod.zip

                          Install that, and you should get TeamAreanMaster v3 in the pull down gametype menu. Uninstalling old version involves deleteing 3spnv25*.* from your system directory. Actually, if you don't wanna redownload 257 next time you connect to a server, leave 3spn257.u in there, and just delete the .ucl and .int files instead. That should still uninstall it as a gametype for the browser.

                          [3SPNv312.TeamArenaMaster]
                          bDisableTeamCombos=True
                          bChallengeMode=True
                          bRandomPickups=False
                          bPureRFF=True
                          StartingHealth=100
                          StartingArmor=100
                          MaxHealth=1.250000
                          bDisableSpeed=False
                          bDisableBooster=False
                          bDisableInvis=False
                          bDisableBerserk=False
                          bDisableAmmoRegen=True
                          bDisableRadar=True

                          That's the important stuff. Though I highly recommend RandomPickups.

                            Sorry to ask, but where in the UT2004 folder do you put this?

                              The settings go in ut2004/system/ut2004.ini.

                              If you've installed and run the mod once, there will be a section in there already called [3spnv312.teamareamaster]. If not, you can still paste that into the bottom, and running the mod will fill in the rest.
