Now with my new computer I can run it at 1600 x 1200 w/ 6 x AA and it runs perfectly. Basically, the pc version of vice city owns the ps2 version. But its true, it could've owned even more if it was made specifically for pc.
You 2 need to learn to read farther into a thread than the first 3 friggin posts

Hell, MTA makes a multiplayer game out of one intended to be single player only
For anyone who doesn't know, MTA stands for Multi-Theft Auto.
It is a mod for Vice City that allows you to run down anyone over the net.
It is extremely beta with lag/packetloss/sore losers
Considering its trying to make my computer process the ever changing locations of up to 26 players in a buggy mod, are you really surprised it doesn't run too well?
Besides, that's what vice city kicked the detail settings to when I first started playing it(which was when I found out about MTA) so I figure leave them at that

No probs with GTA 3 or VC here. They both run great. On this PC and my old one.

I sort of agree with your console comment. Its not the games - it genearally the laziness involved when adapting them for the PC.

I love my modded XBOX - I use it to play all my DivX, Xvid, Bin movies and MP3's, its connected to my LAN so I can play all the above from my File server(upstairs) aswell as having CCDB, and IMDB database connections. Also as the 60 Games I have installed on the Hard Disk (I own all the originals of course). All this on my 36" TV with Yammy Amp 5.1(Downstairs). Nothing like watching all those cool UT demos on 36" with proper big screen sound. My m8's love it.

Besides Project Gotham 2 absolutely rocks on the XBOX
