OT- Looking to buy an LCD monitor

This will be used by two of my nieces, mainly for surfing and MSN, but occasionally for uber-n00b gaming :haha:

Anything I should look out for? Is 8ms response time good?

I'm looking for something that is reasonably cheap, doesn't have to be the best, but will give a reasonable gaming experience.

    Suggestions.......anyone?

Just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW 19.1" widescreen. Has built in tv tuner as well. Very nice, gaming whilst watching the TV picture in picture.

Messed up my screen shots though  Need to find a cure for that. Great screen all in all though.

Hmmm, this is the one I'm looking at right now, comments anyone?

Remember that this isn't for me, so a good gaming monitor is not the priority, on the other hand, I do want it to be able to play games without too much ghosting.

Also, does using the DVI input give a genuine advantage over VGA? Would you be able to see the difference?

Once you go wide, you won't ever want to go back.

Just got a 19" Digimate from a well known online retailer on offer at £135 incl VAT.

12ms but with the DVI input, no ghosting at all.
