It still is played in 2005. Gud enough for me to be part of 2005 (btw: the threadstarter itself chose junkyard ( a game release map to so... ). I think he means all maps from the start.

IMO Goliath isn't that good in TAM. It's VERY hitscan oriented, so I guess it's popular with the instagib crowd

I do like hitscan. Also, Goliath has to be one of the maps it's most fun to get a dark horse on. I don't like Rankin for TAM, because the spawns are close and predictable. I always walk into a triple rocket someone threw around the corner before I can even get a shot off :P

It's when the spawns are predictable that you can actually get some prediction off. That, of course, also means you can outsmart your enemy. I should know, me and whatever team I was on at the time have been outsmarted often enough.
(btw, spawns in Goliath aren't very hard to predict either. If you spawn at the double damage/minigun area, the other team always spawns at the flak area, which is conveniently just a teleporter away... I wouldn't know about the other spawns since I always seem to spawn at the lift next to the minigun...)
