Quick question on Assault

    Quick question on Assault

    I normally only play TDM & CTF styles in UT 2004.
    I am messing aorund a bit on the server setting up Assault, and I may get more into it.

    However, I have certain mutators running full time such as Low grav, UT Comp 1.6a, and Bighead.

    I am noticing in Assault that low grav does not work when you go to jump.
    UT Comp is as I can hear the hit sounds.

    Is low grav disabled somehow in Assault?
    It is no biggy if it is, I can live without it, but I am just wondering why it is not working.

    The Robot Factory map is pretty cool, and so is Mothership.
    Kind of hard to fly the ships, it will take some getting use to.

    UTComp, yes. :up:

    Bighead & Low Grav? NO :down: :down: :down:

    Low Grav is bad as it make reaching certain objs very easy and will take out all the skill needed to play out of this gametype well. :bored:

    If it it only has UTComp & not the other two, I know I'll play on it for sure.

      Yeah, Epic made an effort to make sure UT2004 AS didn't dissolve into a volly of unintended shortcut exploits (with the original AS you can hammer-jump through to the final section of many maps). That means Low Grav and various other jump-enhancing mutators won't work with Assault, to prevent 'sploits.

        Well, since low grav is not working for assault right now, you should like that
        I can disable big head very easily.

        For the other game styles though such as CTF & TDM, we like them on.
        There are about 6 dedicated users among us who play on the server every Friday night for a few hours from 6 to 8 PM PST, and we play off & on all day Saturday from morning into the night.

        More info on the server is in my sig, and we do run Teamspeak full time on it.

        The server is rented by a friend of mine who is mainly into CS:S and DOD:S
        Those two games are on the same server as well.

        If you are near Washington state at all, you should get a pretty low ping on this server.

          I'll play in any server thats not running race maps...
          ...even the laggy euro servers from all the way over here in America.

              I do have a lot of map packs installed including the new one just released by UCMP.

              Most of the time the server is up unless my friend has rebooted it and has forgotten to click on the runserver.bat shortcut.

                  It is the server in the sig.
                  My server is setup for several game types as stated on my webpage.

                  All done via map voting.
                  You can vote for maps, CTF, TDM, UT Comp Clan Arena, Assault, Invasion, the whole nine yards.

                  We play it all on it.
