I also use the bigger package that contains the Cat Control Center.

Many complained that it took a long time to load, and that two cli files would run in your processes.

I think ATI listened, as only one cli file now runs, and the CCC loads much quicker now.

I just installed them yesterday after removing the 5.7s.

Duh! How stupid, I never realised that..

Thanks for the info too, I'd not have fugured it out unless I studied the dates they came out, which I probably wouldn't ever think to do anyway.

i downloaded the new cats, but am still using 5.7's

every month new drivers are out, the catalyst are named after the date

    5.6 June 2005
    5.7 July 2005
    5.8 August 2005

so expect new ones every month, cats 5.12 in december, and then 6.1 in january 2006

i'll install them when i have the patience to do it, or when i format

    *More* new Catalyst drivers?

Hmm, I've just logged on to x-fire & it flagged up new, 5.8 drivers, I popped over to the ATI site, & lo, there they are.

Didn't 5.7 just come out about 3-4 weeks ago?
I've downloaded them, minus the control centre. Call me over-cautious but I think I might wait a day or two before installing these ones, anyone else tried 'em yet?
Working...
