Did 3339 break private voice chat?

I run a server and ever since we upgraded to 3339, nobody can create a private voice chat channel - we just get the "invalid channel" error. With the server still at 3339 but the clients reverted back to 3323, it works again. Anyone else have this problem?

Are there any workarounds i.e. .ini edits etc. so that I can have clients patch back up to 3339?

Update:
I was able to revert to version 3323 on a client and create a private chat channel. The server and any folks joining all stayed at 3339 and could join my channel, they still couldn't create their own private channel though.

So, it does seem that 3339 has clearly broken the ability to at least open a private channel.
