    except that maximum maxclient rate is 20000....which if my math is right is ~20KB/sec

    wouldnt that be good? max client rate has the potential to be up to 100Mbits on a LAN. Most cable providers only give you 3Mbits.

    everything i've ever read/ttried says it needs to be on http otherwise it will only be sent at maxclientrate

    must be something in the codes for UT and IE6 that are different. With IE you can type an IP and folder destination as long as its shared and it pops right up.

    i have done...i used Xp's built in IIS webserver.... you can also use any other webserver like Apache or whatever..just set the redirection to the ip and folder that the redirect files are on..

    how would you setup redirect on a lan? the redirect server is the same computer as the game server...but the maps would be on a seperate hard drive...is it possible? how would I set it up?
