Web-frontend for starting/stopping an ut-server?

i'm searching for a webfrontend based on php/mysql, which let's me start/stop the server via webinterface. A user should have to login, and should be remembered.

not much like professional gameserver-companies offer, just enough, to let other admins administer the server without giving them shell-rights.

I have been looking for this too, I know there is a way , I have seen it ..basically it was a web control panel written in java that allowed users to specific window services to stop/start/restart...if you use firedaemon you can instlal the server app as a service.

however I have not been able to get my hands on it.

Why were on this subject I've been meaning to ask about this. Currently were using server doc to open stop and start the server witch our server provider sat up. But every time we need something changed in the command line they have to do it for us cause of the server doc. They said that if i didn't want server doc. I could just start it form the server bat file though web admin. Anyone no anything about doing it this way?

you cant use a batch file through web admin. ..!! in order to get to web admin the batch file must already be running ...you can shut it down, but you will never be able to get it back running again

think if i were stuck only using serverdoc...i'd run ut2vote along with it...if you need to make any changes to the startup you can do it in your ut2vote.ini, which i am assuming you can ftp...this way if you need to change anything..you log into your serverdoc...stop the server....change the ut2vote.ini for your new commandline, and then restart with serverdoc..should work fine..

Why not just let ServerDoc run the bath file?

might work for him, but not myself , on a dual cpu machine serverdoc is not that good, no ability to assign the server app to a specific cpu

well in my case it's linux.

afaik there is a startup-script, which provides a start/stop/restart parameter. If not, i could just code something myself, but the php-mysql-part is not my style. I guess, there must be something, as all bigger providers have such things.

Look for WebMin

I use it for stopping/starting the UT server...even booting the whole server

Remember to configure WebMin on another port then the standard 80!! For security reasons!

PS. This tool is VERY powerfull and not for Linux NOOBS!!

That's when you have your provider put XVote in the commandline
instead as you can update which UT2Vote4x you need to run.

I ran accross a reference to something "pimpserv" that might do what you want when I was looking at the mods that came out this weekend. I think it's by the makers of the Muralis mod but can't remember for sure.
