    Server name in listing always abbreviated

    My server name continues coming out as "Jailbreak, 1mbit up,...." instead of the "Jailbreak, 1mbit up, dual P4! [run by Kagura]" that I want it to be. Why is this? I notice that several other servers are also like this, but that 90% of the servers have much longer names without the ... elipsis.

    How might one go about fixing this? Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

    is your server name colored?

      It happened before I added colors, and after I added colors. There are colored and uncolored servers that do not have this problem. I am still looking for a solution, so if anybody could shed some light on this, I would be most appreciative. Thanks!

        i was just thinking that i think there is a 20 character limit (maybe more) but the colrs are 4 characters each...thought maby that was making you exceed the limit..

          The SERVER NAME *kagura points to forum titled "server administration"* is truncated, not the username. Servers are not limited in the same way usernames are. 95% of all servers have names much longer than 20 characters. Anybody have a solution?

            I think the master server holds the first 15 or so characters, and then the server browser gets the rest when it pings the server.

            If you scroll down the list just after you have received the server list from the master server in-game, you will see that all the names have .... at the end of them.

            When the server is pinged, the name is then completed. Check that you can ping the server.

              Ahhh, that is correct! I am behind a NAT, so the full name appears in the LAN window, but on the master list (where I am unable to ping myself at my ISP IP), it is abbreviated. But this will look differently to other people.

                There are some characters that should not be used in Servernames and Playernames and they are a comma ',' a backslash '\' and a pipe '|'
