    UT2Vote42 bug??

I have just upgraded to UT2Vote42 and the following isn't working
    "Added Voting to GameStats (OlStats).
UT2Vote is now 100% GameStats and OlStats compatible."

    i.e. the last game played
    http://ut2004stats.game-server.cc/ut...php?match=3717

It says voting disabled and the votes aren't shown in the chatlog.
    I am using OLStats 2.20

    Cheers

Ahh just seen this in the OLstats readme.. Should I be using the advanced vote logging in OLStats???
Can you confirm this before I try it out and break something

    "
    ADVANCED VOTE LOGGING
    ---------------------

If you turn on advanced vote logging (see configuration section below) you need
to make one change to your UT2004.ini file. This occurs because in order to log
voting, the voting handler must be changed with a unique OLStats version, which
then requires its own configuration section in the ini. Its an unfortunate side
effect, and is why advanced vote logging is off by default.

Find the line with the following text:

    [xVoting.xVotingHandler]

    And replace it with this:

    [OLStats.OLStatsVotingHandler]"
    "bAdvancedVoteLogging=[true|false]
    New in v2.20
Turns on "advanced vote logging." When this is set to FALSE, vote logging is
done simply by reporting the chat that the voting generates, like "Overload has
placed 5 votes for dm-gael." When this is set to TRUE, vote logging is done via
unique events. The advantage of this is that they could be used to generate more
interesting vote statistics. However, if you simply want the votes represented in
the chat log, leave this false. False by default. This option does not appear in
the "configure mutator" menu in the game.
IMPORTANT: If you set this to TRUE, you need to do some special configuration!
Refer to the installation section above.
NOTE: If you are running a mod that replaces the voting handler (such as UT2Vote)
then setting this to TRUE will cause voting not to be logged at all. If your
custom vote mod handles logging itself, then you should set this to true to
    make OLStats not log voting."

    Cheers

Ive updated to ut2vote42 as well and a lot of things arent working
for example I disabled the hitsounds but they are still there, and you dont see the voted maps in the small window to the right :weird:
and all gametypes are voteable even though I disable all but 3 of them

      whats wrong

The hitsounds do disable but only on the next level.
The reason your games still show is because you copied and pasted your old UT2Vote41.ini file into the new UT2Vote42.ini without reading the manual and the UT2Vote42 gamestrings are different to the old ones.
Both AllowVote= and Hide= has been dumped and replaced with HideVote=False

          thank you

I like the admin message button but it should have an extra spot somewhere

at the moment you have to give a map opinion before you can access the secret admesg button

Im not sure but I guess 3 out of 5 players dont give their opinion so they will never see the button, and at least 1 out of 2 players wont know what the button does

In the IniOnly section there is also a bDisOpinion=False, set that to True and only the Admin Message will be available.

                Sorry Sadgit, did not see

I will put your question to my team and see what they come up with.
Basically the author of olstats wrote me a routine to add to UT2Vote and maybe I did not interface it correctly, and I will check that out.
Problem is finding someone when you need them that runs stats

Basically who votes for what and what wins the vote is supposed to go into the stats logs.

Newbie there is also a bDisAdminMesg=False
                      Make that True

this was suggested and discussed...in the end the menu would have gotten quite cluttered..and we weren't sure how many/if any would be using the new admin message feature...for now if you want both...then let clients know to hit opinion first.... i got around it by setting opinion to false..as most of my clients never used it... this make the admin message always visible.

I thought so.. it doesn't look like the votes are going into the OLStats logs.. unless I have screwed something else up
but I don't think so this time.. hehe
