Well - someone forgot to mention that the only way to get the hidden characters is to hack them because finishing SP doesn't give you jack.

I spent the first 3 days after buying the game finishing SP on experienced lvl (the default ) - never used cheats - and it unlocked nothing - nada - zip.

The only thing I can think of is that I - like many others here had to use the fixed 2004 exe for the game to even install and run properly.

So - now I and many others are all considered cheaters for getting our game to even play at all while tech support scratched their heads and gave us nothing?

I'm thinking that maybe all these install and numerous bugs in the game should be fixed 1st with a patch before quashing people who had no other choice but to use the fixed exe because of that retarded SecurRom bs.

Otherwise - this is just picking up where SecurRom left off.

Just a minor thing, but the page title in the UTSecure2K4Help.htm file says "UT2003 Interim Security Mutator Release 1". Spot the deliberate mistake

afaik you've to finish sp in godlike level; i don't know why epic embarrasses us to use these skins at lower level, it's absurd imho.

no. just run the linux version, it shouldn't have a copy protection :bulb:

If these GUID's are actually universal, then keep them to yourself. Just because someone comes to your house and misbehaves according to your rules doesn't mean that person will do so at my house or that we have the same rules at all. I don't know you, and I certainly don't trust your ban list.

Global GUID's are easily abused by unscrupulous and ignorant admins, and creating a virtual "blacklist" by banning GUID's based on second and thirdhand information is simply unfair to the accused. Large scale banning of players is only going to encourage people not to bother buying the game since buying it won't assure them of being able to play online.

If someone can beat SP in godlike difficulty - I've yet to meet him.
Malcolm was extremely difficult in the final match on experienced difficulty. Maybe UTSecure should be used on him because I'd swear hes a cheater.
The only way I beat him on experienced was to hoard the shields 1st before he does and that doesn't even help sometimes - they all end up being close matches.

To everyone that unlocked the skins using the upl file. Just copy/paste the original files from from cd1/system folder to the system folder on harddrive. That will repair the upl files and eliminate the ban issue.... :up:

Not a problem my friend, but I can 100% assure you that theGUID's I have are for 100% Definate AImbotters .
If this list is good enough for the Jolt Server Admins, then It is good enough for me.
Its completely up to you whether you want them or not, thats why I didnt post them up here, But I have been a server Admin since UT99, and these bounders were caught redhanded.

the no-DVD hack. Anyway, I have played on several servers with the UTSecure mutator while using the no-DVD hacked .exe and I haven't had any problems.

Don't know if its just me but after downloading this off a server and playing with servers running it...In death matches all the skins are red and blue

Are we forgetting that GUID`s are hashes *per server?

i.e. Someone elses banlist won`t work on your server, because your server keys are different.

We are looking in to this to see what's going wrong.

The only thing I can think of is that I - like many others here had to use the fixed 2004 exe for the game to even install and run properly.

The .EXE isn't tested so no-cd patches should work just fine.

They have already stated that they will not ban users of the No CD File.

is there anything new we need to know about the stats? I've read this thread over and over, and there's nothing since the epic guy said they were down. just to know if anyone knows if there's a date it should back on?
