epic should of came up with a way so that ut saves a htm file or something onto your computer that stores all the stats you've racked up in all the games you have played for your own personal convenience

In windows you can't open files that are in use.
In GNU/Linux though you can use the "tail -f <file>" command to actually watch the file, and see any changes as they happen, this is very handy, and is a small tip to any one using the Linux server for this game. I am guessing most already knew this tip but for any one who isnt a big GNU/Linux user, it can come in handy.

legacy-ThePerfectCore repliedYou'd be wise to remove the GUIDs and names from that post. Like, right now.

Hopefully when UT2007 rolls around (after '05 and '06), someone at Epic will get a feel for what is required to have stats running.

To add to that. You can download the free package Cygwin, which emulates several of the linux console commands such as 'tail' or 'cat' inside the windows command prompt (if you specify the /Cygwin/bin directory in your PATH environment variable). Alternatively you can just use Cygwin's own shell to execute such commands.
You can find out more about Cygwin here: http://www.cygwin.org

legacy-uglyduck_uk repliedYou probably got kicked for idling - some of the servers have very short "no activity" settings.

Thanks for the response, DrSiN.
It might be a good idea to send regular update to the Atari Tech Support people too - they're obviously well in the dark as to what's doing on.

The UTSecure log file is opened all the time. If you want to access it you may need to shut down the server first.
Im wondering if you plan on trying to eliminate the 2 pauses that happen with antitcc. Usually they happen about 5 and then 20 seconds into the game. And thanks for the help.

legacy-djbeni repliedJust making a small little note about security/cd keys, you can go almost to any P2p (I just searched for "tournament" on eMule) and came up with "Unreal Tournament 2004 keygen" and "online play enabler". If anyone wants to check those out to see if you can't protect the servers against whatever they're doing, if they even in fact work.

legacy-Rogosh Eagle Eye* repliedAnytime i try to play online now i automatically get disconnected from every server i've tried after i load the map. It gives me no messege as to what my be causing it, simply saying it disconnected. The only thing "different" i've installed lately is the Agent-Smith player model. I don't even have it selected when i go to play online and everything else is "stock". What is going on?
[edit]NM, figured it out. I guess it should have been obvious[/edit]
