    Server is not showing up on the master server list

    I got the server cd key from epic and i put the files in the system folder of the game (which probably wasn't necessary) and i ran the UT2004_Server_CD_Key.reg, I even checked the registry to verify the key was installed to the right place.

    Everything looks right, but when I run the server it doesn't show up in the Master List. Not in the in-game browser or in Gamespy.

    Here is my Master server setup in my UT2004.ini:
    [IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
    LANPort=11777
    LANServerPort=10777
    MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master1.epicgames .com",Port=28902)
    MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master2.epicgames .com",Port=28902)

    Anyone have any ideas why my server won't show up?

    The server IP is 206.161.125.35:7777

    My Server shows up in the Master Server Browser but for a ping it has n/a

    can you see your server on the LAN Tab?

      My server is not on the same network as I am. It is at a hosting company, so I can't say if it is showing up on the LAN list.

      I can ping the server and play on it with no problems. It just won't show up in the master server list.

        Probably to do with there firewall. Check with them to make sure they have the game ports open for you

          I had a similar issue last night with my own server. A reboot of the server brought it back to the list.

          On a possibly related note...the filters seem a little weird. I was unable to delete custom filters once I made them, and for a while, was stuck with filter settings I didnt want that were filtering out some servers I wanted to see.

            I had the same problem, I had to change the default filter to see my server....

            When you enter Join Game, Internet...

            Uncheck Standard Servers Only if you havent already...

            Also make sure this is set

            [IpDrv.MasterServerUplink]
            DoUplink=True
            UplinkToGamespy=True
            SendStats=True
            ServerBehindNAT=False
            DoLANBroadcast=False

              I rebooted the computer and my server is still not showing up in the master server list. There is no firewall between the computer and the internet.

              Here are the other master server settings.
              [IpDrv.MasterServerUplink]
              DoUplink=True
              UplinkToGamespy=True
              SendStats=True
              ServerBehindNAT=False
              DoLANBroadcast=False
              NetworkStatusMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4NetworkStatusMs g

              Everything seems to be configured correctly.

              This just makes no sense.

                  The computer is not using NAT and is not behind a firewall.

                  It has to be a something with the game or it not seeing the registry entry. Though I checked the registry entry and it is correct.

                    Did you check with the hosting company to make sure they aren't blocking any ports?

                      my bad...ill bend over now so you can kick my ***.

                      but you can reboot and look at the registry at your hosting company?

                      must be some firewall thing like mentioned.

                        The computer is not owned by the hosting company so i just remote into it to reboot it.

                        and it is not behind a firewall so it can't be that.

                          I've tried anything I could think of. The settings you have are the same as mine. Maybe you should try downloading a new key.

                            I did get a few cdkeys.

                            I know the computer isn't behind a full blown firewall, but it is behind a few routers. Maybe they have some port blocking going on.

                            Thanks for all the help. I would have still been looking at it being the game otherwise.
