It actually depends on what they do. Some do need to be added to serverpackages for the map to work for clients.
You'll have to consult the readme for that map to make sure.

Basically any map introducing new weapons/vehicles, which have not been added to the mylevel package.
There is some other stuff, like angelmapper's CTF-PhaseShift for example.

@llort: If it's not mentioned in the readme of the map, then you don't need to.

What if the person that wrote the readme did not know? All the maps that have them (4 in total) just modify and or add new vehicles. I would not need to add those, right?
