Learning, Teaching and Hosting it

If I know someone who is willing to show me different things about how to play but when ever we are playing on a server either of us is always getting killed so it is very frustrating.

I was looking at the hosting thing and wondered about it.
Is that what I would do in order to be alone and be able to talk with each other.

It would be periodical so a dedicated server is not needed I'm thinking or am I wrong?

Can anyone help me with what I am looking for?

select host game in the menu and set up with all the options then click listen and that'll let you play in the server youve created, you should probably have a max player limit and a password if you want to play with this dude alone.....if you click dedicated it runs a server in the background...hope that helps
