Hi im quite new to the game, and im wondering how you do those cool sideways cartwheel flip thingies, i know how to do the forward and backwards flip but ive seen people cartwheel up steep ramps and stuff how do u do it

somersault - you almost had it!
Daspadger said it.... only a third person view thingie, you do it but don't realise it....
as to cartwheeling up steep ramps it is usually done by double dodge jumping - again, from your viewpoint you are going pretty straight, others seeing you might see you do the cartwheel, flip, somersault, acrobatic batman manouevres

If you actually want your view to flip, you can download the monkey matrix moves mutator which lets you slow time and dodge bullets. Every now and then you flip over while dodging bullets, and your first person view will flip over
