just wondering how you set up binds where you can switch your name to something else w/o going into player settings. tried searching but couldnt find much, seen a few people do it in game cycle through names they have set up. thx in advance.

setname name
You can type this in the console, or bind it to a key. I prefer this way to the ingame setting because the max number of characters for your name is more than the max number of characters allowed in the name box in the settings. -
A little confused with this one, why would you want to keep changing names other than if you were an admin?
I'm sure there is something I am missing here.

Some people change names because they are cheating and don't want the admins to know who it is. Other people change names because they play under more than one name. Some, like me, use an alias when they don't want others to be able to find them, so they change their name to something else to get away from certain people for a while.Comment
