    Size, Does it matter?

Ive been playing as a juggernaught character, because they look cool. But because im so big am I easier to hit? Would I be better off playing one of the smaller races?

It doesn't really matter. Most 1337 gamers will always use default skins (mostly Gorge). They always see you fat:down:

The only difference is that bigger models are easier to see sometimes.

I'm pretty sure all player models in UT2004 have the same hitbox. Meaning even if some are fatter than others, they still can only be hit within the same range. For instance, if you are using George Jr. A small skin thats like 1 ft tall, and you shoot a foot above his head, you'll still hurt him. I haven't tested this, but it is what many people have told me.

So what's to stop people from making a completely transparent model?

I know other people can choose not to see it, but those that do will not see you.

It depends really, In my own experiances I have noticed people go for the bigger/lighter targets. I confirmed this experiment in a DM match, first I played as the black robot, people chased me, but not alot I got good frags, then I came in as a white gen mo ki, People really went out of their way to frag me barly got any good frags. Always when I entered a fight I was the focus of all the fire.

if one chooses to download a transparent skin than its ones ownfault.

even if a player uses a custom skin they only way someone would see that skin is if they to have it installed. meaning if they dont have the custon skin/model installed it will show the custom skinned player as one of the default skins.

Interesting that, I tried a similar experiment in ONS, when i was a Skaarj i was pretty much left alone, infact it might just be my imagination but i'm sure the enemy avoided me too. When i played as Mr Crow or Harlequin, i was hounded by the enemy everyone it seemed went out of their way to frag me. Even my own teammates would try and run me over etc. Amused by this i then changed my ingame name to Barry Manilow, and well, you can imagine what effect that had....lol :haha:

Best to play as the biggest, brightest, ugliest model out there. Especially the ugliest.

Everyone and their mother will be after you. Great for practice. You'll learn how to handle yourself in tough situations.
