How do you play UT movies?

K. I've searched - honestly, I have. Here there and everywhere. I even went back and checked the manual. But I can't figure out how to play a movie. I've downloaded 3 in the hopes that ONE of them would have a readme that says put file here, load this, do that. Could someone give me the paint-by numbers please?

Ok...if you dont yet have one, go to your UT2004 Folder and create new folder "Demos"

Place the movies there, load up UT2004, go to Community, and then Demos...there ya go!

I made my own Demos folder and it didn't work. The Demos tab in the Game is still inactive, and I do have 2 movies there. I downloaded yet another movie (The Fatz demo) and it came with a codec that allows me to watch their and other movies through media player.
So, in some senses, I'm okay cause now I can watch movies. But do you guys have any ideas why your method might not have worked (system specs, etc..) ? And yes, I created the folder name without the quotes.

A misunderstanding.
UT2004 demos go in the demos folder. They have the ending .demo04 and can be viewed under the community tab. You watch UT2004 movies (converted and edited demo clips, .avi, .wmv...) with your favorite multimedia player.

you can also just start ut2k4 hit the ~ console key, type demoplay filename . Like so demoplay test1 hit enter
