I believe it takes more than just submitting an app to become a clan member at vVv...

it takes participating and joining the online forum and playing on our servers as well. We have to get to know you and get a grasp of your personality and traits and then eventually a member vote will be held to determine if you're worthy. We have many members and playing styles (I'm reg weapon, reg grav) and are made up of all ages and abilities.

If you have had no response it's probably because you haven't accomplished any of the above. They are prerequisites to become a member of vVv. Be patient because there is a line formed to join and if you're an impatient type and get discourgaged easily then there are many more clans out there but I don't mean to discourage you myself. Your best option is to go to www.vvv-clan.com and join the forum and frag on our many servers.

        I would like to add...

As a player seeking a clan you should be more interested in the following than just joining any clan that will take you:

        1) Low ping to clan's servers
        2) Teams available for play (i.e. lowg ig ctf, reg g TDM, ONS, etc.)
        3) Skills of other clan members
        4) Goals of Clan (i.e. just for fun, serious to win, etc.)
        5) Are the other members good sports (if it matters to you)
        6) Rules or restrictions when playing on their servers

These are just a few things to think about. These questions are also a good reason to get on IRC or chat in game with clan members to see if it's really the clan for you.

          Theatre of Mayhem

The Theatre of Mayhem was founded in June 2003 by the current clan leader r3tr0x and TM's initial founder - Pablo. We have been playing the popular Vietnam based shooter Vietcong since October 2002 when the demo was released, and have built up an excellent reputation within the community as a whole. Our old [Wales] tag earned us respect both on and off the battlefield by clans of varying skill levels. Our team comprises of highly capable players who are always friendly towards others. We have recently branched out into Unreal Tournament 2004, Far Cry and Battlefield Vietnam. If you believe you are adept at one or more of these titles then please pay us a visit at www.tm-clan.co.uk

The majority of our squad are British but we have also taken on players from Finland, Canada, The Netherlands and France. Providing our players are reliable and are English speakers we are not concerned with their country of origin.

We are allways looking for good players so pay us a visit for a try out www.tm-clan.co.uk

We allso have are own servers for UT2004 and Vietcon

Someone (can't remember who or where, but thanks  ) suggested that this thread might also attract people starting a clan and that it might be nice to have some tips on that. Well, I'm no expert, but here we go.

What do you need for a clan?
                    - members. Of course. Recruiting can be done via this thread (, don't forget to post a working link ) or online. People might not appreciate others recruiting on their servers, so ask for their MSN or xfire name and talk there. If you've played for some time you'll know who are frequent players and who you want to ask. If you're new, just ask anyone and see who'll stick.
                    - a corporate identity. Try to think of what you want your clan to be. Will it be a clan for elite players? Or just some friendly people having fun? Something in between? Or something completely different?
                    - a forum. A place to meet and discuss. The most important way to keep in touch with everyone.
                    - a website. Not absolutely necessary, but it's your shop window for the rest of the world.
                    - diplomatic relations. Of course, you want to actually do something with your clan too. Like have matches with other clans. You can challenge other clans via their forums or take part in one of the many competitions.
                    - when you've got a nice clan going, you might consider getting your own server, so you're not dependent on others for places to play.

                    Did I miss anything?

You don't need forums or IM names, jusy an irc channel.

I'll respectfuly disagree on the "not needing forums."

We have almost 500 members on our forum..would be a mess with just IRC.

Unless you intend to live on IRC, your members and guests need someplace to interact and see what's going on.

For those intersted in STARTING a clan... i posted this awhile ago; Fluff's guide to starting a clan:

                                Members searches !

                                Hi!

Our clan still looks for suitable members, because we have at the moment only very much a few.

We play ONS only. We need for our recent wars with Germany league (Giga) new players.

We are still a very young clan, however, we have very good TDM and player ONS with an average score of 50 – 80. Our homepage is www.dfp.clanpage.de (still into German)

Unfortunately, you must come with it clearly speak we only German. However, I can write to you by email and in English.

I use a translation program with I emails in English can write.

If I write only sometimes with you and we meet sometimes (with UT2004) I will introduce you my clan to leader.

If you ask has put them to me. I will answer to you as good as possible to it.

Should you have sometimes interest in it to play in an European team an email writes to me:

                                CommanderTycooon@aol.com

The best players ONS of Germany!

P.S. I am glad about every email!
