i have prbs with dodge

hmm well i play not too wrose ut2k4 but to increase my skills i know that i should use the dodgeing but i cant!

if i m alone and not in hurry i double press a direction key and dodge but when i play in combat i double press the key and don't dodge. why? whats the point? do i press not strong enough?

i played around with the double click time but didn't get a correct result. how is it working by u?

I found that during combat I had to literally stop moving to enable myself to dodge, I tried to do it while I was moving but it never seemed to work. If you run up to an opponent then let go of all the directional keys, then quickly double tap to the side, you should be able to get a good shot in without taking any damage yourself. The best thing to do, however, is just to practice dodging in the single player against bots until you perfect your technique.

The default speed for dodging when learning is way to fast, in settings set dodge time to 0.5 sec and you should find this will help tremendously.
Keep practicing and dont give up if you want to get real good dodging is a vital part.:up:

when i want to boost forwards i keep ky forward button hold double tab sideways and correct my movement with my mouse so i fly forward. if you want to do the forward dodge without standing still i do hold my left/right button and then i double tab forward twice..this way i never stand still. i did notice that lots of players stand still before dodge.. but with this you are more difficult to hit..
