Minigun wierdness

Has anyone noticed that when you first fire the minigun, the barrel will turn without a spray of lead? It makes a sound too. But if you notice, the barrel turns about 2x complete circle with no bullets. You can click repeatedly and watch it revolve slowly. For a long time I thought I had probs with my audio.

That's the barrel getting up to full speed before it fires the bullets. It happens in real life too.
