Help me NOOB! plz! modding!

i have seen all of the modding videos on the 2 DVD special edition of UT2004 and i get how u do it all.... but the only fing that i cant get hold of is an iamge plane.... can sum1 point me in the rite direction to get an image plane for viechles / how to make and image plane.....

humm go ask in the mod and editing forums sorry we cant help here im still new to moding myself

maya or 3DS? i know in 3DS you can use Alt-B or make a plane then add the image you want to the plane (give it 100 self illumination)

I know no other 3D progs though....
