GCWorld has loads of no-cd patches I've used successfully with other games before, but just understand that should a patch come out you've got to wait for somebody to bop out a new no-cd .exe with the patch contained to play again. If you're worried about tearing up your play disc, honestly, it might be easier to invest a few dollars in a disc cleaner. Mostly I've used patches for MP games to play with my housemates over our lan, and generally it's been such a pain in the *** I've managed to convince them to just buy bonus copies of the game. That or jog up and down stairs with a cd between levels, which gets old after awhile.

I personally don't mind if people have an illegal copy of this game, as they can only play on LAN.
I play on lan most of the times, so... it's good if you have some competition instead of just me and a classmate that's bought it against some bots...Comment

mostly they don't.
the groups that crack the game have too much at stake to fek it up.
if it comes out that lets say a crack from deviance (big group) steals good serials, they never get to do another crack EVER!
because there is too much honor involved, they'd never do such a thing.
