How do you add people to BUDDIE list?

if you open the buddy browser and right click on the left side where it says buddy name you can add a name that way.

Duh - never mind. I just figured out the Right Click thingy. Don't know how I missed something so obvious. Must have tried everything except that!

If a friend of mine is gives me the name he uses in UT2004, how do I add him to my buddie list? Do I have to find what server he's on and add him while in game? Can I add someone whose not currently on line so I can find him later?

Couldn't find anything in the documentation about this, and there don't seem to be any options to add in the BUDDIES section.
