How to get average fps or to benchmark

Yes i am new and I am trying to find out my average fps in UT2003. What do I do? I would like to know how to benchmark the game on my system. I just bought a new video card and I have searched and searched and cant find how to do this. Lots of talk but how do you check FPS or benchmark the game? Thanks!

For benchmark, open up the Ut2003 system folder, and look for 'benchmark.exe'

To display the FPS. Open the console and type stat fps.
