    Voices in UT2K3

    I'm a newbie to UT2K3.

In UT, you can select your player model and skin (if there are a number of skins for the model), as well as the voice. In UT2K3, you only get to choose a skinned model, with no apparent option to choose a voice.

I downloaded some cool skins - the supe hero pack, with wolverine, hulk, the thing, the green lantern, batman and spiderman. But when I use them (offline of course, in botmatches), their voice is the same as the standard voices, and I can't change it. This is a bit of a downer. Are there models/skins that actually come with their own unique voices, or is there another way to select a differnt voice that I'm not aware of?

Thanks in advance for any help.

In UT2003 the voice is attached to the model. You can modify a characters .upl file to add a custom voice for the model or skin. You just need to install a voicepack and add VOICE=VoicePackName.VoicePackName to the .upl file. Only computers with the same custom .upl file and the voicepack will be able to hear the custom voice, otherwise they hear a standard voice.

I've done a bunch of voicepacks including the Bender model's voicepack and a voicepacks for the Beavis and Butthead model's as well as the Homer model.

      Awesome, thanks for that!

I asked that question a long time ago and that made it very easy.
