lost setting and HUD suggestions

Hello,

When I'm starting UT and go to the menu to change my name
and HUD it will stay for the current game but after restart.
I changed it in user.ini and then it worked but just wondering
if this is normal.

2nd. to iTDM what settings to you use..especially view scaling..(that you see more on your screen.) sometimes on Lanparties
I see such strange UT2k3 screens but I do not understand how they get it...

I don't think you should have to input the user.ini setting manually... so I would say it is not normal.

As to the 2nd Q. I would need to see the screen shot your talking about to give any kind or answer.

Q2. You can alter your field of view by typing fov .... in the console. The range is limited in online games. The standard fov of ut2003 is 85 degrees afaik, I use 90 degrees. I think the online limit is 100 or 110 degrees not sure. So you can´t set the angle as high as they did in the langame.

Try entering a game, go to the console and type showhud, then exit the console and press the + sign a lot. Then exit the game, properly and re-enter, see if it's ok.
