i have just got this game and i am new to playing on line i have got a new pc with broundband right what i need is how do you play online when i click on a lan game and then pick one of the tooms to play in it takes a long time and as yet i have not played on line yet. this game is not a copy it is new out of a shop can anyone help me so i can play on line.

First of all, do you have the latest patch? If not, download it here. Second of all, you don't find internet games under the lan games listing. Look for an "Internet" tab instead, then click refresh. -
Ok, like j00f00 said, get the latest patch. You might need to download the bounus packs as well. If you are seeing LAN games on the LAN tab on the server browser and you do not have a server running, then you have a problem there.
Of course, if you are a noob, like you say, you might be just getting things mixed up.
What happens when you connect to a server and you do not have the map on your comp, the server will download it to you.
You have to understand that this community is large and there are a lot of modders out there. They make their own maps and put them on servers. If you do not have that map, it will be downloaded to your comp, this takes time. Be patient, most of the time it is worth it.
