My server has been getting hit by BloodPit players lately (I support several Deathball-related gametypes) and I allow up to 10-man games normally. It's hosted by ReconGamers and the following is from their FAQ:

Where are your servers located? How fast is your internet connection?

Our servers are located in Ashburn, VA. Ashburn is located just 35 minutes south-west of Washington, D.C. Recon Gamer has a direct Gigabit Ethernet (2,000mbps) connection directly to Verio From our Gigabit Ethernet connections, they feed directly into multiple OC-48 and OC-192 backbones (2.488 Gbps and 10 Gbps respectively).

While my server is overrun by BloodPit games, I play on our new North American Public server:

His server allows up to 14 players at a time and is hosted by NuttyServers

P4 2.4ghz 800mhz Bus CPU's
1.5gb of DDR RAM
7200rpm or SCSI HD's
Servers are located in the Equinix Facility in Chicago, IL, or in Dallas, TX. Both facilities has a backup power plant and a self contained water cooling system. We have quad oc-48 connectivity to multiple oc-192 backbone providers.

Foo's should be a good bet for ya from the west coast..
There should be people there all night, come out and play!
