I think all you need is a hub or a router.

I used a hub to play 1 on 1.

Well, what about this lan do you need help in setting up ?

The hardware network - IE cables, routers and such ?

The OS Software side - IE how to let the computers recognise eachother, what protocol to use and such ?

The Game's side - IE how to ensure that all players have an identical enough version to stop all kinds of files from being pushed through the network ?

The playability side - IE how to set up a listening server so that everyone can find it and join in ?
