To be honest, iOS 7 was out a half year ago. Even though though iOS 7 support wasn't required by apple before this month, users have for a long time been unable to configure basic stuff like system settings for the four new devices that are out, and they had to deal with unnecessary bugs (not being able to debug with console command is a really unnecessary slowdown).

I know that most of your team is working on Unreal Engine 4, but if you are only able to release one version of UDK a year, then at least try to plan the release to match up with new iOS / device releases. I can't really see any excuse for not having a version with iOS 7 support 19 days after it become an requirement, and 6 month after it was possible. Even though it is your engine and you can do what you want, I find it really disrespecting and unnecessary to put your faithful users in situations like this. For us who spent years developing a game, it is very unsettling to know that such situations, which are our of our own control, might happen.

      agree!

Maybe we should use Unity3D instead of UDK.
And we can develop android app as well.

that's not the point, "the builder" have the reason, i dont see any excuse for not having a version with IOS 7, we are developing our game ago 9 months and when is ready, i see this. This is unjustifiable.

This happened before with the UDID Removal last year. I'm not sure what's going on. Its taking Epic quite some time with this IOS7 update. I mean, they did say they had a few pesky bugs left, but that was over a week ago...

Its entirely possible that the update's done. I mean how long does it take to code an entirely new Database and Library? Or at least update it?

What I find to be total **** is Apple's new rules. There was no reason for the update on their side that I could see. If they wanted to enforce the new rules, why not do it the moment when IOS7 was released. Why make these new rules a half a year later? Yeah, its their operating system and company, but still.

There's a problem with both this delay and Apple. I'm in indecision about continuing development with my second game, or stopping for now and build up a portfolio to get myself a job in the industry, then come back later if the update ever comes out.

does seem a bit daft that there is still no update.
the ios7 requirement has been public knowledge for quite some time.
whats up Epic? you need a hand there?

                  Hi Guys,

We are very sorry for the impact this is having on you. We have this build down to just 1 or 2 bugs, and have for several weeks. We believe we are very close to squashing the last bug or two, and that after these no more will pop up.

When there is a lot of development to do, or many things to fix, you can get more folks involved to solve a problem faster. However at this point in time the two or three folks who can get this out to you are working as hard as they can on it, and having more folks test or code will not make this happen any faster.

We want you to have this build, and we can't wait to see the awesome things you do with it!
